The School of Business Administration aims to provide students with a high-level of specialized knowledge in the fields of management, accounting, and commerce, and to develop human resources capable of taking the intellectual lead in future knowledge-based and industrial societies. For this purpose, the Business Administration seeks students who have the abilities described below.
Applicants are sought with the following qualities and abilities:
- Students with the ability to read and express themselves in Japanese and foreign languages and the ability to think mathematically and logically in order to receive general and basic education in all aspects of business, economy and society.

- Applicants should have acquired the following abilities in high school, etc.:
- Japanese Language: reading comprehension, and expression.
- Geography and History/Civics: broad and comprehensive knowledge, and the analytical skills to understand various social phenomena.
- Mathematics: mathematical thinking, expression, and comprehensive understanding.
- Science: comprehensive understanding of the natural sciences, and logical thinking.
- Foreign Language: reading comprehension, communication, and expression.
Basic Policy for the Selection of Students:
To select students in line with the Business Administration’s Diploma Policy and Curriculum Policy, we assess the competences of applicants through the following examinations.
- In the General entrance examination, we assess knowledge and technique; and critical thinking, good judgement and expression.
- In the Recommendation-based entrance examination, we assess knowledge and technique; critical thinking, good judgement and expression; initiative and cooperativeness; and interest and motivation.
- In the Special entrance examination for privately funded international students, we assess knowledge and technique; critical thinking, good judgement, and expression; initiative and cooperativeness; and interest and motivation.
- In the Entrance examination for third-year transfer students, we assess knowledge and technique; critical thinking, good judgement and expression; initiative and cooperativeness; and interest and motivation.
