You will need a Kobe University account to log in.
A “Record of cold-like symptoms” or a “Record of novel coronavirus infection etc.” are not required.
Who needs to take the medical check-up?
- All new students starting on October 1.
- All new students who enrolled after the last day for student medical check-ups in April/May 2024 (which was April 25 for students of the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences, May 10 for students of the Graduate School of Medicine, May 15 for students of the Graduate School of Health Sciences, and April 17 for everyone else).
- Those who enrolled in April 2024 but were unable to enter Japan to take the medical check-up for new students at that time (limited to those who can get confirmation from their Academic Affairs Section that they were unable to take the medical check-up for new students due to the timing of their entry into Japan).
- Those who were not in a condition to take the medical check-ups by the last day for student medical check-ups in April/May 2024 (limited to those who are studying abroad, on leave of absence, etc., and whose can get confirmation from their Academic Affairs Section that they were unable to take the medical check-up for new students).
Excluded are those who were already at the university in April (e.g., as a research student) and have taken this year’s medical check-up.

Dates: Mon, October 21 Women 12:30 to 14:00
Men 14:15 to 15:15
Tue, October 22 Men 9:00 to 10:30
Women 12:30 to 14:30
Venue: Takigawa Memorial Hall (on Rokkodai 2nd Campus)

About the examination method: There is no limit to the number of participants, so please come at a time that is convenient for you within the specified time frame.
However, please note that the process may take more than 30 minutes during peak hours.
Things to bring:
1. Medical check-up slip (Note)
2. Health questionnaire (Note) (Please download the form here, print it double-sided, fill it out and bring it with you.)
3. Form for submitting measles and rubella certificate (Note) (Please download the form here, print it, fill it out, attach the copy of the certificate(s) and bring it with you.)
4. Container with urine sample (Note) (collected on the day of the medical check-ups)
Samples cannot be given at the medical check-ups venue.
5. Student ID card
The forms 1&4 are distributed by each Academic Affairs Section.
(Note) Except for 5, in principle, if you have already submitted the documents to the university, you do not need to bring them with you for this medical examination.
Precautions
1. If you have difficulty communicating in Japanese, please come with a tutor or interpreter.
2. You will have a chest X-ray as part of the check-up, so please be sure to wear appropriate clothing:
- You are required to wear a plain T-shirt for the X-ray examination.
- You should not wear a dress (or other clothing that covers both your upper and lower body) during the X-ray examination. Necklaces and jewelry are also not permitted.
- Please do not wear underwear with metal or plastic wires or similar components during the X-ray examination.
- If you have one, you can wear a T-shirt with padded inserts during the examination.
