Admission Fee Exemption

Students who have difficulty with the payment of the admission fee due to any of the following circumstances may be granted a full or half of the admission fee exemption based on screening of applications.

New undergraduate students who:

  1. have difficulty with the payment of admission fee due to the death of a legal guardian responsible for paying a student’s education expenses, or as a result of suffering due to a natural disaster experienced by the student or his/her household supporters within a year of his/her entrance to the university.
  2. are recognized by the President as having a reason described in the previous clause or equivalent.

New graduate students who:

  1. have an outstanding academic record and difficulty with the payment of the admission fee for financial reasons.
  2. have difficulty with the payment of the admission due to the death of household supporters, or as a result of suffering due to a natural disaster experienced by the student or his/her l household supporters within a year of his/her entrance to the university.
  3. are recognized as having a reason described in the previous clause or equivalent.

Note: Students who have already paid admission fees are not eligible for admission fee exemption.

*The household supporters for international students mean applicants themselves and their spouses living in Japan. Parents and/or other family members who do not live in Japan are not applicable.

Admission Fee Deferral

Students who have difficulty with the payment of the admission fee by the due date due to any of the following circumstances may be granted am admission fee deferral based on screening of applications.

Eligibility

New undergraduate and undergraduate students who:

  1. have an outstanding academic record and difficulty with the payment of the admission fee by the due for financial reasons.
  2. have difficulty with the payment of the admission fee by the due date due to the death of a legal guardian responsible for paying a student’s education expenses, or as a result of suffering due to a natural disaster experienced by the student or his/her legal guardian within a year of his/her entrance to the university.
  3. are recognized as having difficulty with the payment of the admission fee by the due date due to other unavoidable circumstances.

Note: Students who are granted an admission fee deferral must pay the admission fee by the newly assigned due date.
